Now that my community-wide pre-budget consultations have come to a close, I want to thank the many residents who took the time to provide a submission.

As a minister in Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s government, I am working to ensure your issues receive national attention.

I was pleased to hear from constituents in Preston, Galt, Ayr and throughout all of Cambridge and North Dumfries. 

Our Government’s top priority remains the economy.  Residents have told me they want the federal government to focus on creating jobs, keeping taxes low, balancing the budget, and helping local businesses remain competitive.

I will take these ideas back to Ottawa and share them with my caucus and cabinet colleagues.
