Cambridge – Minister Gary Goodyear, Member of Parliament for Cambridge & North Dumfries, joined staff, volunteers and supporters of the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank to pack toys for local kids at the 2nd Annual Family and Friends Night at the Calvary Pentecostal Church.
Goodyear, who donated four bags of toys, puzzles and board games, called on Cambridge and North Dumfries families to contribute. “I’m encouraging all residents to take time out of the busy Holiday Season and to donate and volunteer to such a great cause. Because of your generosity, children throughout Cambridge and North Dumfries will wake up to a surprise on Christmas morning”, said Goodyear who volunteered with his wife, Valerie Goodyear, and his constituency office staff.
Minister Goodyear further applauded Pat Singleton, Executive Director, Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank, for organizing the event. “Pat’s unwavering dedication to serving families, seniors and residents throughout Cambridge and North Dumfries is remarkable. Pat and her team at the Self-Help Food Bank have helped make this a truly special Christmas”.
