Cambridge – The Hon. Gary Goodyear, Member of Parliament for Cambridge-North Dumfries, announced that the Cambridge Celebrates Canada Day Organizing Committee has received close to $10,000 in funding towards its annual Cambridge Celebrates Canada Day festivities.  The funding will go towards covering the costs of  the festivals many amenities and attractions. 

“Between the live entertainment, parade, fireworks and so much more, there is no better place to enjoy Canada Day than in Cambridge. Families from across Waterloo Region will gather here and celebrate all that is great about our country.  Our government’s local funding will help ensure this is Cambridge’s best Canada Day celebrations yet”, said Minister Goodyear.    
The funding was made possible through the Celebrate Canada program, through the Department of Canadian Heritage.  Funding goes towards celebrations that help to increase pride and belonging among all Canadians.
