Minister Gary Goodyear Welcomes $10,000 in New Funding for Langs Farm Village Association Benefiting Local Seniors
March 23, 2011

Minister Gary Goodyear, Member of Parliament for Cambridge and North Dumfries, welcomed news that Langs Farm Village Association, a community health organization, received $10,000 in new funding, made possible because of Canada’s Conservative Government and the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP).

“The announcement of $10,000 in new funding is incredible news for Langs Farm Village and all of Cambridge and North Dumfries.  As a result of this investment, the leadership, staff and volunteers at Langs Farm Village will be better equipped to aid local seniors who participate in this organization’s programs”, said Goodyear.

The NHSP is a federal grants and contributions program that supports projects led or inspired by seniors who make a difference in the lives of others and in their communities.  Langs Farm Village will use the funding to purchase and replace existing equipment like computers and software, so seniors can better participate in healthy living programs.
