The Rotary Club of Cambridge Sunrise recently hosted two very important guests: Gary Goodyear, MP for Cambridge/North Dumfries, and George Ayres, a dedicated community member who was honoured by Gary with a certificate of recognition from the Right Honourable Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
The certificate was awarded to Mr. Ayres based on his long-time active membership in the community. Not only has George continuously participated in the Annual Cambridge Times Rotary Classic Run, but he has also had an immense role in community fundraising, raising over $160,000 including over $12,000 this year alone for Kids Ability Centre for Child Development. George’s involvement in helping others will always be remembered, and the community will forever be in debt to his hard work.
