Celebrating 40 & 50 years in Canada
November 17, 2008
On Saturday November 15, 2008, I had the pleasure of attending the 40th and 50th anniversary celebrations of some of Cambridge’s finest residents. For over four decades now, mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters have made the long journey from Portugal to make our community and our country their new home. On this night, I was absolutely thrilled and privileged to present certificates from myself and Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Cambridge’s Portuguese community highlights our city’s unique character and the pleasure of living here. Once again congratulations to all individuals, and thank you for making us all proud Canadians. Sincerely, |
