Reminder to Take Advantage of Home Renovation Tax Credit
January 07, 2010

(Cambridge, ON)
- Today, Member of Parliament for Cambridge & North Dumfries, the Hon. Gary Goodyear encouraged Cambridge residents to take advantage of the Home Renovation Tax Credit (HRTC).

A key component of Canada’s Economic Action Plan, the HRTC provides powerful incentives for Canadians to invest in their home while realizing significant tax savings.

“In the face of the deepest worldwide recession since the Second World War, our Conservative government introduced an Economic Action Plan that includes one of the most comprehensive stimulus packages in the industrialized world. The HRTC, as part of the Plan, is helping create jobs in the construction and home-building industry in our community,” said Minister Goodyear.

Canadians undertaking eligible renovations to their homes before February 1, 2010 will receive up to $1,350 in tax relief from the temporary HRTC. For more information, contact 519 624 7440 or visit www.actionplan.gc.ca.
